Subject: Upcoming Time Off Requests - Marcus Holloway

Hi Sarah,

I hope you had a great weekend. I’m writing to get some vacation time on the books for the upcoming quarter. First, I’m planning a trip to visit family, so I’d like to request the week of March 16th to March 20th, 2026, off as vacation. That would be a total of 40 hours of my accrued vacation time. I submitted this request on February 10, 2026. My manager, David Vance, already sat down with me today and gave his verbal approval for those dates, so I’ve marked it as approved on my end.

Also, I’m looking at a secondary request for later in the spring. I need to take May 4th and 5th, 2026, off for some personal professional development training. Since I’ve already burned through my personal days, I’m requesting these 16 hours as unpaid time off. I submitted this request on February 12, 2026. David hasn't had a chance to look at this one yet, so I’m leaving it as 'Denied' for the moment until we can reconcile the project schedule, though he will be the one authorizing it eventually.

I’ve attached my project status reports for the team meeting on Wednesday, but for the time off, please let me know if these dates cause any issues with the current sprint. I’ve signed both of these requests digitally as Marcus H. for your tracking purposes.

Best,
Marcus Holloway
