Caseworker Memo: Assessment Review for Leo M. Miller, DOB 05/12/2019. I met with the staff at Bright Horizons Preschool on January 14, 2026, to discuss Leo's progress. Regarding developmental evaluations, Leo participated in the ASQ-3 screening on November 20, 2025; results show strength in gross motor skills but some concerns regarding verbal expressive language. Consequently, we are scheduling a follow-up with a speech therapist. Leo's most recent physical on December 5, 2025, showed him in good health, and his vision and hearing screenings conducted the same day were within normal limits. The preschool teacher noted that while Leo is quite social and has developed strong friendships, he struggles with transitions and sometimes becomes frustrated when playing alone. She mentioned that he learns best through visual aids and hands-on tactile activities. I discussed this with his foster mother, Ms. Sarah Jenkins, who agreed that Leo thrives when he has a clear, visual schedule at home. She did not express additional concerns regarding his learning but is eager to support his speech therapy. Leo himself mentioned during our chat that he really likes building with blocks but gets 'sad' when clean-up time happens suddenly. He has never been classified for special education services, and at this time, we do not believe he requires a formal gifted program or immediate intervention for behavioral issues beyond consistent routines. Overall, Leo is adjusting well, though his speech development remains a priority for the next quarter. Signed: J. Aris, Caseworker, January 16, 2026. Supervisor Approval: M. Thorne, Jan 17, 2026.
