Internal Case Memo - RE: Smith v. Global Logistics - October 14, 2026.

Regarding the active litigation matter of Smith v. Global Logistics, currently before the Superior Court of California, County of Alameda (located at 1221 Oak St, Oakland, CA 94612), we have reached a critical juncture. Our client, Global Logistics, represented by Marcus Sterling (State Bar #182930) of Sterling & Associates, located at 450 Sansome St, Suite 700, San Francisco, CA 94111, needs to file a motion to strike against the plaintiff’s latest filing.

We were served with an amended complaint last week. Despite our firm’s diligent attempts to resolve the pleading deficiencies, the opposing counsel has been non-responsive. I personally reached out via telephone on October 8th, and sent a follow-up email on October 10th regarding the specific sections of the amended complaint that are legally deficient. They have completely failed to respond to our request to meet and confer in good faith. Therefore, we are proceeding with a motion to strike. Please prepare the declaration accordingly for filing by the end of the week. Please ensure the phone number (415) 555-0199 and email [email protected] are included for all service records. I trust the team will handle the court filing protocols correctly, as the branch name is the Rene C. Davidson Courthouse.
